Eighteen Thirty, my debut home-textile showcase collection.
Eighteen Thirty is my magnum opus, a vivid display of creativity and technical expertise that reflects the skills I've acquired throughout my undergraduate journey at NCSU and my internship at Cotton Incorporated. This work embodies my passion for textile design and the growth I've experienced during my life and education.
Eighteen Thirty is a tangible representation of the memories I collected growing up at street number 1830, nestled within two acres of woods in rural North Carolina. This work intricately weaves together form and function, creativity and technicality, inviting you into the mind of an imaginative young girl living in the blissful innocence and security of her secluded childhood.
Each piece represents a separate and poignant memory and uses a broad variety of textile design techniques including laser etching, jacquard weaving, screen printing, quilting, machine embroidery, and digital printing.
